Kirsten Gillibrand is Senate’s “hottest member,” said Majority Leader Harry Reid.

During Reid’s address to the senate, he discussed how “many senators are known for many things. We in the Senate refer to Sen. Gillibrand as the hottest member.” Although Reid went on to talk about Gillibrand’s political successes, the remark left a stir in the crowd and Gillibrand visibly embarrassed, said The Washington Post.

The strange comment may hurt Reid’s campaign against Republican challenger Sharron Angle.
